Project Coordinator

Job Description

The Project Coordinator plays a critical role at 84 Agency—helping our clients feel seen, heard, and supported while also supporting the smooth execution of creative projects. You’ll work closely with our internal teams and external partners to ensure that timelines stay on track, communication stays clear, and projects move forward with integrity and focus.

This is an early career position ideal for someone with some prior project support experience (1-2 years) who understands creative processes and values work that advances mission driven work. This position reports to senior project management staff. 

Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Internal Flow

  • Execute and assist the development of project timelines, deliverable checklists, and internal task assignments

  • Work closely with creative, content, engagement, and project management teams, as well as freelance, and contract workers to keep momentum on projects

  • Maintain clear and prompt external and internal communications

  • Maintain clear documentation in agency tools including Google Drive, Basecamp, etc. 

  • Perform routine content updates, revisions, and other administrative tasks as required

Client Communication & Support

  • Assist with the success of client accounts

  • Participate in client meetings and help translate directives and feedback into actionable steps

  • Draft client communications, timelines, or update notes as needed

  • Work with Project management team  and Client Leads to  track and communicate revisions, approvals, and follow-ups to keep everything moving smoothly

Team Collaboration

  • Contribute to kickoffs, team check-ins, and project wrap-ups

  • Help maintain shared calendars, plans, and delivery schedules

  • Occasionally support light quality assurance (proofing, information accuracy, etc.)  or file prep before delivery

Flexibility & Growth

  • Take on other responsibilities as needed, based on agency priorities and evolving client needs

Qualifications:

  • 1–2 years of experience in project management, client services, and/or creative production

  • Experience with nonprofits, public-sector campaigns, or advocacy communications

  • Experience with creative software, and project management workflows and systems

While this role has defined responsibilities, there will be times when tasks overlap across team members or new needs arise. Location:

Charleston, WV / Flexible with regular in-person meetings at 617 Tennessee Ave Upper Charleston, WV. 

Compensation:

This full-time position offers a base salary of $34,000, with potential adjustments based on experience. In addition, this position is eligible for our comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off; health, dental, and vision insurance; and a retirement plan with employer matching contributions.
