Experience Learning Brochure of Programs and Events for 2022

Experience Learning Communications and Marketing

What is the power of wild places? Just ask the team at Experience Learning, a nonprofit and 400-acre, multi-use camp center located at Spruce Knob in Pendleton County, West Virginia.

For decades, the lives of campers from across the country have been transformed by the mountains, leadership development curricula, and good, old-fashioned, outdoor camping facilitated by the organization and its remarkable setting.

Upon losing their long-acting communications director, Experience Learning’s small-but-dedicated team turned to 84 Agency for assistance. Through our retainer-based relationship, we not only enabled Experience Learning to maintain its communications presence, but also helped revitalize and expand the organization’s brand, produced multiple annual appeals and impact reports, and created print and digital materials to aid program recruitment. Additionally, in 2022, we assisted the organization in promoting and celebrating its 50th anniversary by developing specific, 50th-anniversary branding and content, and strategically promoting anniversary-related events—all of which have ultimately led to increased donations, camper engagement, and alumni support.

“Working with 84 Agency has been a game-changer for our organization. In the past, we have been challenged with finding the best ways to tell our story, challenged to reach parents and students in a way that not only gave them the appropriate information but to also make it engaging and meaningful. They have helped us craft compelling messages and completely upgraded our brand and content.”

 – Vicki Fenwick-Judy, Executive Director of Experience Learning
