Vantage Ventures Branding and Website Development

Vantage Ventures, an entrepreneurial project of the John Chambers College of Business and Economics at WVU, needed to stand out for two reasons. First, West Virginia is often overlooked when it comes to the potential it offers to individuals with lofty business ambitions (i.e. future founders of scalable technology companies). And second, the landscape of tech start-up programs across the country is an abundant and highly-crowded one.

That’s why Vantage Ventures came to 84 Agency.

Through our open ground methodology, we were able to develop a powerful brand and web experience unlike any other expression of the WVU brand, while still adhering to the established university brand guidelines. We iterated, experimented, and delivered a fresh tone of voice and visual presence that has helped make Vantage Ventures competitive at a national level—recruiting and inspiring the next generation of start-up founders from all over the world to give shape to their transformative visions right here in West Virginia.

Prototype

We built a functioning prototype of the website to gather feedback from Vantage Ventures before beginning development.

We developed a visual style and messaging to expand the Vantage Ventures brand. These brand guidelines and brand assets were shared with the client for use in their communications.
